Foley House seeks to work with residents using trauma informed approaches. This acknowledges that many residents have experienced trauma in their lives which continue to affect their mental and physical health and can have an impact on a person’s capacity to develop and maintain relationships with others, motivation, mood, as well as their coping and problem-solving skills. Foley House aims to provide a safe, warm and positive living environment and promote a sense of community amongst residents, which is acknowledged as a fundamental component of trauma informed practice. Foley House’s recreation program is similarly designed with trauma informed practice in mind.

Metered street parking is available in nearby streets and can be paid for by Les Smith on the day
